The first-ever launch of British automaker Morris Garage in India – MG Hector has a lot to offer, froma 1451cc engine to 6-speed dual-clutch transmission. But what really caught our attention was theinterior of this amazingly crafted 5-seater compact SUV and some features that are still unseen in the Indian market.

MG Hector has a very clean interior design, which is also very unique to it. First and foremost, all ofthe new MG Hector cars come with an unprecedented vertically oriented, 10.4 inch touchscreeninfotainment system. This means that there’s no button cluttering in the dashboard. All the buttonshave been shifted to the steering wheel, where everything is at your fingertips, quite literally.

To start with – the infotainment system supports 360 degree camera feed, voice command, Android Auto, AppleCarPlay, inbuilt navigation, as well as the iSMART app that enables you to control comfort featuresof your car through your Smartphone.

The panoramic sunroof in the MG Hector makes the cabin space look very airy and spacious. NewMG cars also come with the premium Harman Infinity Audio System with four speakers, fourtweeters and subwoofer.

Safety features in the MG Hector include six airbags, electronic stability program, front parkingsensors, hill hold assist, traction control and ABS with EBD. The gearbox is 6-speed.

MG Hector price starts from a very affordable RS12.74 lakh and goes up to Rs13.54 lakh.MG Hector (6-seater), which has recently been launched, with captain seats in the middle row withfoldable armrest, also starts at Rs12.73 lakh. It has features similar to the normal Hector but islonger and therefore has some design updates. The middle row with captain seats has leatheretteupholstery with contrast stitching, and offer to slide and recline too.

All in all, MG Hector is sure to race ahead in the segment run.
